The machine was dirty. When I turned the machine on and made the first pass on the carpet big chunks of animal fur fell out on my carpet. Obviously not cleaned prior to renting to me. I had to clean the unit and start again. Did work well on my carpets.
It worked great it got blue dye out of my light tan carpet!
I was so impressed!!

I didn't like the unit I rented because it seemed as if it wasn't working properly or like rug doctor has worked for me in the past .
Works pretty well but now that it’s a self serve kiosk, we’ve ended up with a dirty machine the last two times we’ve rented one. It’s unfortunate that we not only clean it thoroughly when we’re done, as required, but end up having to clean it out before we even get started. There’s got to be a way to prevent returns of filthy carpet cleaners and just passing the work on to the next renter. Very frustrating.
Make sure the solution light is working correctly please.
Easy checkout and easy to use. Would definitely recommend and use again.
The machine doesn’t suck up the water back up and left my floors soaked

Was a total waste of money. I attempted to clean one room, nothing changed as I was cleaning the carpet. I own my own carpet cleaner which works better than the rug doctor! I thought the rug doctor would be way more faster or superior to a regular carpet cleaner, nope! Didn’t even use the rug doctor after the first room. Total waste of $75!
Was easy and convenient to get and return the rug doctor.
I rented the rug doctor and brought it home and the whole time it was in my car I thought I smelled something bad so I just thought we’ll maybe just mildew or whatever so I took it downstairs into the basement into my laundry tub and opened the dirty water hatch and I almost threw up!!! The people before me never emptied it and this is during Covid I called the one 800 number told him about it and said I was concerned and not to let the person before me ever rent again but I was never given a discount... I was never given anything for the time that I lost cleaning this thing out with bleach so I’ll never rent one again.... especially at the place I did.
I also asked their people to check it after his return and I never got an answer for that either. All I Gotta say is why would I ever wanna write something like that again not knowing whether or not it’s clean???
Even though the machine was easy to use, the rental process was long and arduous, the actual machine didn't work very well, and I feel like there is no recourse for me to request a refund. We actually stopped cleaning the carpets and seriously debated having a professional come in. The machine didn't seem like it was working at all. The house stunk worse after using the steam cleaner than it did before. The rental process was horrible. The touchscreen pad to type everything in didn't capture all the letters. I had to retype my name four times; don't even ask about the address. I used the rental at Wal-Mart; none of the associates would help us with anything. I will do my best not to have to use Rug Doctor again at this point. I am not happy.
The machine was gross and smelled to high heaven. I had to spend the first hour and half cleaning the machine. People clearly do not clean the machines prior to returning they mush just dump out the water and that is it.
